~A Snapshot of Our Week~

Our little home has been busy this week, with the Easter holiday.  I have been doing a lot of menu planning and baking homemade foods.  Lauren went to her Grandpa and Grandma's house in the country for spring break.  She had fun helping her grandparents work in their garden, and helping gather fresh farm eggs from the chicken house.

Megan enjoyed spending time with her friends, and hosted two slumber party's over the break.

Steven worked on his apartments a bit, but was able to fit in some time for some relaxation as well.  Justin helped his Daddy get the garden ready.
I was excited Steven painted our little half bath room for me!  I like the 1950's turquoise coloring.

I made some home made comfort food for our family.  I'm afraid I ate too many chocolate chip cookies.  I usually can resist the temptation to eat more than a couple.
This is the surprise I awoke to on Easter morning.  A blanket of fluffy white snow covered the ground and trees.
Steven and I went on a little outing, and visited a little thrift shop where I found a few new cook books.  I love to get new recipes try, and if they are good, then I add them to my list to choose from for meal selections.  The Taste of Home cookbooks I truly just love.

Today is quiet in our little home.  Lauren is home with a fever and cough, so I'm tending to her care.  I'm doing my daily laundry and planning to make Chicken and long grain rice soup for our dinner this evening.  That is a snap shot of our week.  I hope yours was a good one.

Welcome to our cozy cottage~

Come on in, have a glass of freshly brewed coffee or tea and we can chat about our family's, our homes and our days.  My name is Juli and I am a stay at home Mommy.  I love being a home maker.  We have a cozy little cottage that suits our family quite well.  I hope to share my simple way of living and my days with you, in this little space.  I have four children.  Tristyn is 19 and lives in one of our apartments that my husband and I own.  He is going to college to be a doctor.  He is so caring, intelligent and just such a wonderful son.  I do miss him, even though he is in the same town as me.  Then there is Lauren, the sweetest girl you could ever meet.  She is 14 years of age and just got her restricted drivers license, so watch out world!!!  Next I have Megan, who is 12.  She is a so full of personality and loves to hang out with her little group of friends, she loves roller skating and texting her friends.  My youngest is Justin, he is 9.  He is sweet loving and what people call an all boy, boy.  He likes to play on the computer and enjoys doing sports with his Daddy.  My husband works as a Chief Financial Officer as the head accountaant for a very awesome space museum.  He also has purchased some apartments that he runs in addition to his day job.  He likes to play a variety of sports and just seems to have endless energy.  I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful family.

I am an early riser, so all is quiet in our little home right now.  Lauren is at her grandpa and grandmas home for a spring break visit.  Megan is in our little basement with three of her best friends sleeping. and Justin and Steven are still fast asleep as well.  Me I am at my little desk sipping on my coffee with my sweet smelling candle lit.  My desk is an old teachers desk made of solid wood  that I purchased back in college.  My husband fixed it up for me a few years back and I love it more than ever.

I plan to write often about the goings on in our cozy little cottage, and I hope that you will join me.
