~A Snapshot Of Our Week~

Here is a photo of Lauren, Megan and Justin on their first day of school!  It was Megan's first day of junior high.
I helped the girls organize their lockers this year.  I watched you tube videos on how to organize a locker.  I think they turned out nice.

Speaking of getting organized, I have been organizing all our drawers and cabinets.  The top photo is our kitchen junk drawer.   The bottom photo is under our bathroom sink.  I should have taken before and after photos, but I didn't think about it.
This is where I keep my downstairs Christmas tree and decorations.
In the other little nook in our basement I have two bends to keep some items for the apartments that my husband owns, such as leases and keys and things such as that.  I am helping him to run them, mainly doing office type things and if he gets the large complex he is thinking about, I will be answering phones.
Last week, we got egress windows for Lauren and Megan's rooms!  After they were put in my husband had to finish off the inside walls, and then we had to paint.
Here is Megan at Lowes picking out a paint color.  Both Lauren and Megan chose similar colors.  Kind of a cafe mocha shade.  I would have never thought to choose those shades, but they look awesome!

Here is Megan's finished room.  She wanted a more mature looking room than when it was the purple shade, and I think it looks darling.
Here is Lauren's room.  The door in this photo leads to what is now our workout room, but we are having it made into a full bathroom for Lauren.
The girls had their picture day and I couldn't resist snapping a photo of them in their pretty dresses.  The other girl in the photo is Megan's friend Noelia.

Megan took my camera and took a couple of selfies.  What a cutie pie!
This is what I've been melting the last couple of weeks.  It's called Pink Velvet and it's from Walmart.  I really love this scent.  It is light and very yummy smelling, but not overly sweet like some of them.  I love it.
I've been doing my normal things such as laundry taking the children to all sorts of practices and such and meal planning and cooking.  I got to talk to my wonderful sister Tricia this week.  It had been way too long since we spoke.  I told her I'm going to call her at least once a month so we can keep in better touch.  I sure miss living close to my family.  That is pretty much a snap shot of our weeks.  Hope you all have a great weekend!

~A Snap Shot of Our Weeks~

I am loving melting this Fresh Pulled Taffy wax melt in my living room!  It smells like the taffy shop at Silver Dollar City, Yum!!!
I'm loving my flame less Luminar candles.  They are not quite as bright as a real flame, but look pretty real and the flame even moves.  I have waited for two years or so to try these, and I really do like them!
I have been burning my Yankee Candle Chocolate Cappuccino down stairs and also one in my room.  I love this scent!

This is the planner I use to keep track of my family's schedules.  It is an Erin Condren planner.  I love it.  You can choose the inside of your daily calendar, how it is lined up, the one I choose was I believe called the vertical.  You can also customize other things as well.  This planner goes through December of 2017!  It was kind of costly, but for me and our family it is worth it.

This is one of the Post Cards from Italy candles in the scent Italian Limoncello.  I really like the look of this candle, it has a bit of a vintage look to me!  I like to burn this in my little kitchen in the early mornings and evenings.

Steven and I have been enjoying our Sunday morning breakfasts.

New to my little kitchen is this chalk board from Hobby Lobby.  They are half price this week, and I had been wanting one for a while.  I don't use chalk to write our daily menu, I use a pen from Hobby Lobby called Bistro Chalk Marker.  You shake it up, then write with it.  It drys, so it doesn't
smudge off, to remove it you just use a wet wash rag.  I really like it.  I always menu plan and have a list of my weekly meals on my fridge, but I like to pick what meal sounds good for a certain day, the day of.  This is nice to just look and know what I'm making at a glance.
Lauren had Cheer Camp yesterday, and she came home looking so cute!

I saved the best for last!  Kaylee and Tristyn have set a wedding date for April 2017!  We are so excited and sweet Kaylee asked both Lauren and Megan to be bridesmaids!  She is so creative, she gave them a little zebra stripped box and inside was a sash that said Bridesmaid and a chocolate bar!

That is a little snap shot of our weeks.
