~The Keeper Of Home Series: How To Disinfect Your Home After Illness~

I had been pretty sick this last week, and I am hoping to keep my family from getting what I had.  It was a pretty scary respiratory virus.  The last couple of days, I actually have some energy again, and my chest feels almost normal.  I still have a cough, but I am so thankful to be almost well!  Yesterday and today, I have done everything in my power to kill any germs that may be in my little home, in the hopes my family won't catch it.

I have washed all the bedding.  Starting with the bed I was in while I was sick.
I used my air purifier in each and every room in our little home.  This little machine, cleans the air.  I got it off of Amazon a while ago.  It is called the Honeywell AirGenius5 air cleaner.
I used disinfecting wipes to clean all of our remotes.
All of our door knobs.
Everyone's cell phones.
And our thermostat,  light switches and anything else I saw that might need cleaning.  I also cleaned the sinks, tubs and such.
I also have been washing my hands often, and wearing gloves when I made dinner last night.  I figure if any of these things helps someone else not to catch it, it is worth doing.
I did not think I would have much to post about, because I have been in bed so much, and not taking any photos.  Then I thought, while I was disinfecting, I might as well share this in case someone has had illness in their home too.  I hope you all have a good rest of the week.  Thanks so much for stopping by my little space.  Hugs.  Juli

  1. Sorry you have been sick.

But wise, that you are doing this cleaning and disinfecting.

We ought to do some of these things, often. Like disinfect remotes and phones and door knobs and other often-used-by-many-home-items! Yes, we should.

Thank you for an excellent post!

    Gentle hugs,
