~Our Little Out and About~

Steven and I went on a little out and about day, and our first stop was Hobby Lobby.  I love the vintage look of these little Valentines.

I had to snap a photo of this very cute and vintage looking Table Runner.
It is a dream of mine to have a little camper one day, so of course I had to snap a photo of these adorable looking hanging campers.
And I thought this was just too cute!  The girls and I used to dream of one day taking a trip to Paris.  That dream is so special to my heart I tend to collect little things to remind me of this.
Of course I had to look at the stickers.  I use them to put on cards and to decorate my Happy Planner, which I use to keep a record of our family's days events.
As we were leaving, I had to snap a photo of this bubble gum.  This reminds me of my little brother, Matt.  He used to love this stuff.  Even though I don't get to see him much, he is always in my heart.

Next we took a little trip to the town of Buhler, Ks.  It is such a cute little town.  We stopped into the Hometown Food Store.  It was small and reminded me of a little store my Grandma Kelly used to take me to, when I was a young girl.  I had to snap a photo of these Chocolate Stars, because my father used to get these as a treat for us back in Memphis, when we would go to the mall.
Next we stopped into a little shop and looked around.

It was fun to look at all of the cute items they carried.
They even had the lotion that my grandma Kelly kept on her dresser, that my cousin Kim had given her.  I truly was tempted to purchase some of this.
They had very nice "real" soap.  I love to use real soap.
These little trinket trays were so very cute also!
I enjoyed looking at their candles.  They had a nice selection of Woodwick.  (Which is now owned by Yankee.)
I also enjoyed smelling their Drizzle Melts.
Next we went to the most Charming little thift Boutique I've ever been to!
Look how cute it is!!!  It had three rooms, one that was for clothing, one for house wares, and one for children's items and books and such!  I was amazed and they had such nice items and good prices as well.
I loved these little ladies figurines.  It is good that I have a small home and can not purchase everything I love.  LOL
Steven is an accountant, so we had to snap a photo of this old fashioned adding machine!
This vintage candy dish was very cute also!
And I loved this little Yorkie figurine.

Here is some information about their ministries.  It is such a great way to use your dollars to help children in the world, that need help.
I did purchase a little vintage lilac glass lamp.  I have been looking for a lamp like this for my Disney guest room, but never did find anything that was a good price.
This lamp is beautiful in person, these photos just don't do it justice.  This lamp reminds me of the lamp that is in the window of Walt Disney's apartment at Walt Disney world.  It is kept aglow in the window in remembrance of him.
Walt Disney's Apartment Video on Youtube  If you would like to view the video, just click on this link.  I am a big Walt Disney fan, as going to Walt Disney World all the time when we lived in Orlando, helped shape my childhood.  My favorite Walt Disney quote, is this one.

All is quiet in our little home right now.  Our microwave broke yesterday, and I have decided not to replace it.  I have done a bit of research on them, and just don't really feel like I want one in my home.  We can reheat our food the old fashioned way, in the oven.  I do like my coffee heated a bit after I put my cream in it.  I just did that in a little stainless steal pan that my father had purchased for me, and it worked like a charm.  (It really didn't take long to do either.)

Today is my cousin Teri's birthday.  I am so blessed to have her as a part of my life.  She is someone who I look up to and just love to talk with.  She is a fun person to spend time with, and I just wish her the happiest of birthdays!
One of the wax companies that I use always inclueds inspirational quote stickers in her packages.  She posted this one on Instagram, and I just had to share it.  Having a heart of gratitude for what we have, makes our life a much happier place to be.  I hope you are all having a cozy week.  Thanks for stopping by my little space.  Hugs.  Juli

  1. What a nice little shopping trip with you. It is hard to find chocolate stars here and I just love those.

  2. Loved sharing your trip with you today, Juli.
I love seeing the small, quaint stores.
I fear someday they may be gone, replaced by huge box stores, or worse yet, internet ones.
    Love your love of Disney.
    We adore it too!
Have a cozy evening in your cozy home.
We are expecting a snowstorm tonight!
I hope I can get out tomorrow to get my hair done! Lol
