A Peek into Our Week~

My nephew Liam got to come and stay the week with us!  We met my brother and his wife in Salina, Ks. to get him!  The boys were playing video games right from the moment they were together!
Salina has a really awesome mall.  Megan had a lot of fun!
Megan purchased some candy for her big sister, who was in Lawrence with my parents for the week.  So nice to see sisterly love!
The boys wanted their photo taken on these things while we were at the mall.
The boys enjoyed going swimming at our YMCA pool.  I'm so glad they got to make some memories together.  I treasure the ones with my cousin Kim from when I was a child.
Here is a photo of Lauren with her grandfather when they brought her home from her visit.  She loves her grandpa!

Lauren got her very long hair cut.  She looks so cute!
Now the girls have similar length of hair.  They are both growing up into such nice young ladies.  This evening Steven took Lauren and Justin to see Finding Dory at the theater.  Megan has a friend over for a sleep over, and I am enjoying my Better Homes and Gardens Vanilla Cookie Crunch wax melt.  It smells so good!!!  Of course I'm in my comfy PJ's and have a candle lit.  I just love the glow of a little candle.  It feels so homey.  That is a little snap shot of our week

~A Snapshot of our Weeks~

Our family ate at Megan's favorite restaurant, Pizza Ranch to celebrate her 13th birthday.  Here she is getting a piggy back ride from Daddy after eating.  She is such a Daddy's girl!
Justin has been doing swim lessons the last two weeks.

We had Megan's Birthday party with her friends last weekend.  There were ten girls in all!  We decorated with balloons and flowers.

Megan turned 13, which means she is now officially a teenager!!!
Tristyn also had his birthday!  He turned 20, which means he is no longer a teenager!  He had to work on his birthday, so we brought him dinner and a little cake.  His grandpa and grandma were in town so they got to come along!

The day after Tristyn's birthday, we went to dinner and celebrated with him and Kaylee!  Tristyn loves sushi.
We have been Pokemon hunting this week.  Justin loves to go out around town and find Pokemon to catch.  Love his outfit!!!
My new devotional book came in the mail!  My cousin Teri recommended this one.  I really like it!
As always I've been meal planning and cooking and taking care to tidy and clean our little home.  It has been a bit of a busy week with Megan's slumber party, but very fun.  My parents came up to visit and take Lauren to stay with them for a couple of weeks.  It was wonderful to get to see them.  I miss them a lot and wish they lived closer.  That is pretty much a snapshot of our weeks!

~A Snapshot of Our Week~

The last couple of weekends Megan and I have been shopping.  Lauren has been out of town, so it was just the two of us!  We didn't purchase anything either time, but it was fun looking.  I did smell a couple of the new Bath & Body Works candles!
I have been doing some deep cleaning.  I took everything out of my fridge and scrubbed it down.  It feels so good to have our little home clean and tidy.  Megan actually went through her closet with out me asking and put a bag of clothes to give to a thrift store without me even asking her to do it!  I am big on keeping only the things we use or truly care about.  If it doesn't have a home, it can't stay in our home.
As always, I've been doing a lot of cooking.   This is a photo of the recipe Kaylee gave me of her wonderful chicken enchiladas.
In the evenings I like to turn on my TV and run my Amazon fire place along with lighting my candles and relaxing.  I have been listening to audio books on my phone.  I use an app called Audible that I really like.  It is neat listening to a book, kind of reminds me of when my wonderful Mom used to read to me.

I put the finishing touches on my Disney guest room.  We found this dresser for $60.00 at Goodwill, and it's in perfect condition!  I was so excited.
With summer here, we go through a lot of iced tea.  I make two pitchers of regular tea and one caffeine free.
Steven and I had our Sunday morning breakfast this morning.
I found a neat thing on YouTube.  I typed in coffee house jazz and found this awesome soft music to play.  It has a neat coffee picture and runs for hours.  I love it!  I am not a big TV watcher, but I like to have music or a pretty picture on my screen.  Truly the only person who really watches cable is Steven (my husband) and he mainly watches sports or cooking shows or HGTV.  However with his job and the apartments he is on the go quite a lot, so when he is home I like for him to get to relax a bit.  Lauren will be home from her lake-house trip soon.  She has been gone for 10 days with one of her friends at Talberock lake in the Ozarks.  I can't wait to see her!!!  That was a little snapshot of our week.
