~A Peek Into Our Weeks~

Justin and I planted a little herb garden!!!  I'm so excited to have fresh herbs to use in my cooking.

It was a cool rainy day, and for some reason I got in the mood for Christmas.  I know this is strange, but it is my favorite holiday.  Every so often I listen to Christmas music, and with my Amazon Prime, I can have a Christmas scene on my TV anytime I like.

I even melted Christmas wax melts, to create the smell of Christmas and read my Mid century Christmas book on my Kindle.
Lauren took everything out of her closet and purged her items, then organized them and put them back.  It took a while to finish, but I think her room looks very nice.
Megan's closet went from a storage closet to her actual closet.  Now the guest room closet is my wax closet.  Not to house my wax melt collection, just to keep my wax melt supplies that I will use to make wax melts in.

I've been melting a lot of wax.  I love this one not only for the scent, but for the name.  This is what I call Steven.  LOL

We finally went to see Beauty and the Beast.  I waited until it came to the Dome Theater.  It was soooooooo good!!!  Beauty and the Beast has always been one of my favorite movies, and this remake was amazing.  I thought it delved deeper into why Belle actually fell in love with the Beast.  I loved it!
I asked the children if I could take their photo, and both Megan and Justin jumped on Lauren's back.  It was not quite the photo I had hoped for, but I love it just the same.

The children and I went to our mall.  It was fun, but I do wish our mall was able to have more stores.  It really is pretty empty for a mall.
My friend Father Rodger came over for coffee.

Megan and Justin had their last day at school.  Lauren got out a week before they did this year.
Our family went to Salina to shop at their mall.  The Salina mall is pretty nice.

Megan and Lauren like to go to the Victoria's Secret.  Megan loves the pink clothing line.

Justin and Lauren jumped and on this thing at the mall.  Lauren did back flips.
Lauren found her first book of summer.  She  loves to read over the summer.  During the school year she is too busy to read a lot, so summer time she enjoys her books.
I love this scent of wax.  It is a dupe of the Sex Bomb bath bomb by Lush.  I like to melt this in the guest room.  So light and pretty.
I posted a new video on You Tube for my Cotton Candy candle.  I will put the link here, in case you are interested in this candle.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n-zyL2HSzgM   You will have to copy and paste it to your address bar to view it.
Because it's summer, I have moved from my fireplace DVD to my fish tank.  I just like the look of something pretty on the TV.  It is like a moving piece of art.
I hung out it our little basement the other night and listened to my 1940's music on our new little Jukebox.
Here is a photo of the Jukebox.   It is bluetooth, so you can play any song from your phone that you like.  So if you do I heart radio, you can play that.  I do Amazon music and Youtube.  I love it!  It has really nice sound.

I thought I would snap a photo of Megan's room.  I love how vibrant it is.  As you can see we have had a busy couple of weeks.  I am ready for some down time.  The children found most of their summer clothing, so that is a good thing.  The children will be staying busy this summer.  In addition to her space camp and travels with her friends, Lauren likes to stay at her grandparent's home for a couple of weeks.  Megan is doing both basket ball and volleyball camps and Justin is doing dodge ball.  So they should not get too bored.
Well that is a little peek into our week.  Thanks for stopping by my little space.  Hugs.  Juli

  1. Hi Juli!
    Loved this one!
I am loving how much you love Christmas...because so do I!!!
Do you celebrate Christmas in July?
I also adore how much you all do as a family.
And the cozy, warm, inviting home you create for your loved ones.
    Beautiful picture of you too!
I am off to help Peyton bake her birthday cake.
She insisted she wanted to bake it herself! : )
Have a wonderful day, and happy summer!

  2. Hi Billie Jo! I have always done a little Christmas in July, but this year I am going to put up a tree. :) Not our big one, just a smaller one that we have. You are my inspiration for that, because I saw how you and your beautiful family did Christmas in July last year. Have a good day, and have fun with Peyton. Hugs. Juli
