This last Saturday my youngest son, Justin turned 12 years old. I have been reflecting on what a gift Justin has been to our little family. I always tell him that he is a gift from God, and he completed our little family. Time just goes by so very fast and I cherish the time that I will have with Justin, because I know far too well, that in the blink of an eye, he will be grown. My heart just overflows at times with how blessed I am to have my beautiful family to love.
My great niece Reese turned one on Friday, the day before Justin's birthday. It just is heart warming to see what a beautiful life my niece Sarah is giving to her baby girl.
Here is a photo that my mother sent to me of my grandma Kelly and my aunt Susie. I go visit her every time I go to Lawrence, but I do wish I lived closer, so that I could visit her more often.
Today our little home was quite messy, so I just got finished cleaning and tiding it. I always think how pretty my water bottles look when I wash them in the white bubbles. As I clean our little home, I just feel so blessed to have a space that our family can make memories in. I just think it is so very important to have a heart of gratitude. Sometimes life can get hard, but we always need to remember to look at the beauty in our everyday life.
This is a movie that I watched and thought I would share. It was truly one of the best movies that I've seen in a very long time. It is about how God can transform our lives when we surrender our hearts to him. It made me cry, and just was very touching.
This is a photo that I shared on snap chat last week. Every now and then, I like to go down to our little basement family room and just feel cozy. Last week when I went down, I just reflected on old sweet memories of Christmas time at my grandma's house. I have photos of both sets of my grandparents in our little family room, and I just miss them and cherish the times I've had with them. It is so funny how when we are living our daily lives, we don't understand just how special those little times we share truly are until later. I am trying to keep that in the front of my mind as I spend my days with the people I love and care about.
Thank you for stopping by my little space. I hope you all have a blessed week. Hugs to you. ~Juli
Oh I loved this, Juli.
ReplyDeleteYou and I are kindred spirits, you know.
Thank you for putting into words the feelings I have about my home and family. And for reminding me to live in the moment.
And Happy Birthday to your baby!!!
