~A Peek Into Our Week

I changed the decor in my A5 planner.  I use this daily, so it just makes my heart happy to decorate it.  I use it to keep my family's calendar and for my list of daily tasks.  It helps me to be productive and keeps me from forgetting important things that need tended to.  I also might note that it reduces my anxiety because I know that everything is on paper and will get done.

I have been making my own counter top cleaner for years.  I thought I might share the recipe in case you would like to give it a try.
I use a 16 ounce spray bottle.  I use the one pictured, but you can purchase them on Amazon.
3 Tablespoons of rubbing alcohol
1.5 Tablespoons of natural dish soap
30 drops of essential oils
Fill with water and shake.

I actually use 30 drops of tea tree oil and 20 drops of lemon oil.  But you can use any combination that you prefer.
When I got our grocery order, I ordered a little chocolate to keep in my drawer so every now and then I can have a little treat.
I've been having a little bowl of plain yogurt with honey drizzled on top for breakfast.  It is simple and quiet yummy.
I make iced tea daily for my family.  I use boiling water and four tea bags, I let is steep for 20 minutes and then pour it into a pitcher and add one half cup of sugar, then chill.
I like to keep magnets with quotes that touch my heart on the front of my refrigerator.
I added my ceramic ice cream cone candles to my little shelf in our kitchen.
I like to keep a dish of peppermint candy on our side table in our living room.  The children like to use it when they study as peppermint helps to increase focus.  I might also add that listening to classical music such as Mozart when you study increases focus as well.  In case you are wondering why the little date display says August, it is the date of my husbands and my anniversary.
As I sit here typing my blog this morning, I can here the little birds singing their lovely morning songs outside my window.  When my heart gets heavy because of all the our world is facing, I like to remind myself to first and foremost focus on Jesus and also to keep my heart focused on the simple blessings that we can find in our daily lives.
I thank you for stopping by my little space.  Warm hugs to you.  Have a cozy week.  ~Juli
