~Just a thought on my heart
Today I would like to share some thoughts on my heart. I can't help but notice that prices on just about everything are increasing. I also have noticed that people in general seem to be troubled and quick to temper more than ever before in my lifetime. I have felt deep in my soul that I need to personally become all the more frugal with our money. I do not know how much harder things will become in this world, but it does seem to be increasing in all areas at a some what rapid pace. So this leaves me with the question what should I do to keep our little family sheltered and content. I feel deep in my soul that now is a time to increase family time and spend good old fashioned time together while making memories with out spending money to do so. I also feel it is a time that we should pray for our world to turn back to God and common decency to our fellow man. It does break my heart when I see people treating each other with such disrespect. I am a firm believer that to bring about change, we must first start with ourselves. So I look at how I can be kind and courteous when dealing with people, perhaps even if they are not treating me kindly. We should not let others actions change us to act in a way that is similar to theirs. If we do, we will become like them instead of kind and peaceful people that God calls us to be. I believe now more than ever those who are close to Jesus should be prayer warriors and pray often for the world. These are just a few thoughts on my heart today. I want to thank you for stopping by my little space. I hope you are staying cozy and content knowing that the peace of Jesus can keep us content despite what is going on around us. So if you are feeling the weight of this world, don't forget to turn you attention and time to spend with Jesus, the prince of peace. God bless you and keep you in His loving care. Hugs to you. ~Juli

Juli, this is so beautifully written and so very true. Thank you for sharing your heart here. And for the reminder that as things continue to be bleak, we can turn to God. I too was thinking just today about shutting all that ugly out and focusing on our family. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI agree. Many times I’ve prayed for this country. For the Lord to turn us around. I usually do this when I wake up in the middle of the night. I ask Him to raise up watchmen on the wall. We’ve turned so far away.
ReplyDeleteJuli, sweet friend. You are so right in your words. I too am worried about the state of our Country, and the rising, rising, costs of everything. I also believe that this is the time to "circle the wagons", so to speak and get family closer, and anything and everything else out. I pray that you are all doing well. I received your card the other day, and it BLESSED me so very much! Oh how WONDERFUL it is to go to the mailbox and find your sweet notes. Love you SO big!
