~Happy New Year

We had a simple, old fashioned Christmas in our little house.  We enjoyed a very yummy meal.  I felt blessed to have all of my children and my grandson in attendance.  In the evening I went to my bedroom and read the Bible and prayed.  I enjoy spending time reading God's Word, and in prayer.  When I draw close to Jesus, it just blesses my heart so very much.
With the new year approaching, I have once again been reflecting on how I may use my life in a way that can be pleasing to God.  So when I list the things I wish to work on in my life, I am going to do so with the over all goal of pleasing Jesus.
I am going to try to have a no spend year in 2023.  This will involve me not purchasing myself "gifts" as I tend to spoil myself a bit.  I truly desire to not find happiness in the things this world has to offer, but rather keep my joy from having a relationship with Jesus.
I want to wish you a happy and peaceful New Year.  Hugs to you.  ~Juli
